…. to the east side!
If you have never watched the Jeffersons on TV back in the early 80s then this won’t make sense to you. But if you know the song, sing along with us as we drive our U-Haul over to the East Side!
Friday night we will be the owners of our home (which is actually on the East side of our city), along with the bank of course We’re moving on Saturday morning. And considering that we don’t have that much stuff after our round-the-world move we should be moved in by lunchtime.
I imagine the first few days (or possibly weeks) I’ll be wandering around the house, listening to my voice echo off the walls, thinking “Wow, it’s so big!” It is by far the largest house we have ever lived in, nearly double the size of the largest place we’ve ever lived in.
A prayer request: that we will be content. That we will not feel the need to fill it up with stuff. We choose to not live on credit (except for our new mortgage, of course ) and we currently have all the things that we need. Pray that we continue to remember that.
And I’ll try to post pictures of the new place after we’ve moved and uncovered the cord to attach the camera to the computer.
