How do you clean your bathroom?

Another important, earth-shattering post here at Philoxenos.

How do you clean your bathroom? Specifically, which products do you use?

I ask this important question because I have just finished cleaning my bathroom. I typically use Comet or something similar to scrub the inside of the toilet and the sink and tub. Although I sometimes use the Scrubbing Bubbles because I was given some when we first moved into our apartment and I still have some.

For the floor I like to use a disinfecting agent because, you know, sometimes people don’t quite make it to the toilet. I’m a huge fan of just plain bleach, but it’s a bit harsh at times so tonight I used Pinesol, which I was again given when we moved in.  Unfortunately it reminds me of an old peoples’ home.

Enquiring minds want to know - what products do you use to clean your bathroom?

Wisdom Tooth, the painful version

It’s currently 3:10 am on Thursday morning. I am awake because I am in EXCRUCIATING pain. I had my wisdom tooth removed on Monday afternoon and I believe I am now suffering from something called dry socket. I woke up at 11pm, after going to bed at 9, in agony. After doing some quicky google-ing, dry socket was my diagnosis. I quickly took another pain pill which only managed to dull the pain, rather than put me in a dreamy bliss as it’s been doing the last few days. I had even managed most of yesterday without the prescription stuff, but the pain is DEFINITELY worse.

I have just taken another pill, although it’s only been 3.5 hours since my last one. I’m hoping it will kick in enough for me to sleep until the morning. And then I’m on the phone to the dentist the minute they open.

One positive thing about all this is I’ve lost 4 lbs since Monday :) Eating a 1/4 cup of oatmeal for breakfast, a glass of chocolate milk and 6 pieces of macaroni all day can do that to a person.

Wisdom Tooth

I am minus one wisdom tooth.  Yesterday afternoon I experience more agony than even childbirth brings. I’m not joking. At least when you give birth there’s a baby at the end! Apparently instead of my tooth being the normal tooth shape, kind of like a carrot at the end and therefore easy to pull out, mine was more bulbous at the end. Although I was very well medicated, it couldn’t stop the pain in my jaw as the dentist pulled and pulled.

Finally, it came out. They packed my mouth with gauze and sent me off with a prescription for Vicodin. How do you spell that? Anyway, a heavy duty pain killer. There were several times last evening that I woke up from a daze on the couch and started crying because the pain was so severe.

I’m doing better now. I even managed to eat some very runny oatmeal. But I decided that I could look after the children while under the influence of heavy drugs, so I’ve called in reinforcements. Handsome couldn’t take off work today but a friend is going to come by soon and stay until my mom can come over and rescue me.

I think this calls for a milkshake.
